A Good Weekend

We had a fun weekend, a buddy of mine from work told me about a place we could pick oranges for free. Jessica didn't believe that they were free, so she was sneaking around trying to make sure no one saw her picking anything. I can tell you, it is pretty funny to watch a pregnant lady trying to sneak around.

Also in other breaking news, we got our very first T.V. We have been meaning to get one for awhile now, but we could never decide on one. This week a co-worker of mine just wanted to get rid of her old T.V. so we decided to take it. So if we don't post for a while, it is because we are glued to the T.V.

We Passed!

We did it, we passed our baby class at the hospital. We even got a certificate to prove it. I feel like the greatest accomplishment from the whole experience was that Lance never fainted. For those of you that know Lance, you understand what I mean.

Week 34

Only 6 weeks left! Most days I can't believe how fast the time has gone, of coarse there are other days when I can't remember what it's like not to be pregnant. I've had some requests to see the belly so here are a few pictures of my belly and our new dresser for the baby.

Enough with the Lights Out

Anytime the weather is just slightly off the normal 70 degrees and sunny, we have issues with our power. In the summer we had too many nights and days with 100+ degree weather and no AC. Now that we are in the "rainy season" as some natives have informed me, our power seems to be struggling again. Lance and I can't understand how we've had more issues with the power or water going out than we did in Bolivia or Thailand. Well the other night as I was in the middle of cooking the power went out again. So I put whatever I could salvage from a partially cooked meal and threw it in the fridge. We then went out with everyone else in our complex to find a restaurant that had power. So we ended up having a candle light dinner for FHE last week. Ok so sort of fun one night of the week. But we've had a few short periods when the power has gone out since last Monday. Sunday's experience was probably my favorite. We go to church at 11:30am, so I usually wait until around 10 or 10:30 to take a shower and start getting ready for the day. This past Sunday the power went out pretty early and didn't come back until right before we were leaving. Needless to say I looked fabulous for church. When we got to church I realized a lot of women shared my same morning experience getting ready in the dark. I saw lots of wet hair, pony tails, and less make up than usual. Well I've had enough of all the power shortages and I wish someone could explain to me why this happens so often!
